73 years since Indian independence…The conflict may have been overcome but the story continues to evolve. The year 2019 marks 100 years of the Jallianwala Bagh Massacre, a significant moment in India’s independence struggle. The decades of strife were made up of many events, small triumphs and turning points that culminated into the hoisting of the Indian tricolour on 15th August 1947. This Independence Day, Readings in the Shed takes a walk down memory lane through stories that recount the many milestones that made up our country’s most memorable journey.
